What to do Enjoy an unforgettable underwater experience without getting wet, aboard Mexico’s only tourist submarine. This adventure allows you to descend to depths of over 30 meters (100 feet) and discover the wonders of the Mexican Caribbean from the comfort and safety of a climate-controlled cabin. The experience begins with check-in at the submarine facilities, where you will receive a short introduction about the region’s underwater history along with safety instructions. You will then board a vessel that will take you to the dive site, where your submarine journey begins. Once aboard the submarine, you will descend to explore the Chankanaab Reef, part of the Mesoamerican Reef System, the second-largest coral reef system in the world. Along the way, you’ll observe colorful tropical fish, coral formations, and other marine life thriving in this protected ecosystem. The journey continues with a visit to the famous Cozumel Wall, a dramatic vertical underwater drop-off renowned for its natural beauty. You will also explore the Felipe Xicoténcatl shipwreck, an artificial reef that provides shelter for a wide variety of marine species. Throughout the tour, an expert guide will share fascinating insights about marine biodiversity, underwater landscapes, and the importance of preserving these ecosystems. All minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Cameras and professional equipment Personal cameras are allowed; the care of any equipment is the participant’s responsibility.
